    Hi Mr. Dimick,
I am a student of Larry Deack and have performed your arrangement of Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring for the Orange County Guitar Circle in the past. I was looking through my sheet music to play your piece again, but could not find it. Is there any way I can obtain a copy of the piece from you?

    Thank you for your time

I LOVE your site! Amazing clean beautiful. It’s everything that is wonderful about classical guitar. My partner and I create guitar instruction mobile apps for the iOS platform. We would love to offer a gift to you of our apps and if you like them we would like to offer one for you to give away to your readers.
Here is a link to the app. It includes 60 minutes of guitar instruction video and 4 of Bach’s prettiest pieces.

Here is a link to the app. Please write to me if you are interested in getting a free copy?

All the best to you and your readers. Sharon

I’m reading through a guitar arrangement and I see the symbol above the notes that reads, “B5 or 1/2 B5——“.
    What does this mean again?
It’s been a while since I’ve read through Classical guitar music?

    Hi John,

This is a fun, useful, and informative site! Thanks for curating it!

If you’re interested, you can look and listen to music I’ve written for Denis Azabagic, Martha Masters, Daniel Bolshoy, and other fine classical guitar players, at my website: http://www.michaelkarmon.com. All scores are free, and questions are always welcome. 🙂

    Hi John,

I just love your site! Could you possibly explain your process (if you have one, or tips or anything) on transposing songs into the guitar, for solos and/or duets?
That would make an amazing article.
    Thanks!

Hi Jack. Thanks for the compliment.

To answer your question: if a piece excites me enough, I just find a way to get the job done! 🙂

Hi! It’s great to discover blogs like this! I, myself, am a classical guitarist who has been living and studying in Spain since 2007. I’ve just moved back to my hometown, of Portland, OR, and am looking to establish myself here on the music scene. I’d be honored if you check out my own page, http://www.ryanwalshguitar.com. I have a video reel that demonstrates pieces I play as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cmweEg1xcak
cheers! and thank you for maintaining this great blog!

Hello. I am Joko, 50. I live in Indonesia. I love playing hymn solo guitar. But I have no talent to make arrangement. It’s very hard to find hymn solo guitar in my country, besides too expensive for me to buy from other country. I hope You could help me about this. Specially for “Higher Ground” and “Softly and Tenderly” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus.” Too long browse the internet but I haven’t found it.
Thank You. May Jesus bless You. Ps : Sorry about my English.

Love your site. I just wanted to send you this YOUTUBE link to my sons performance at the ASTA Aaron Green Classical Guitar competition held at the University of Southern California on 4/4/2015. He prepared Andante Espressivo by Giulianni and Prelude #2 by Heitor Villa-Lobos. Thank you.
